Andalusian fruit and vegetable products are associated with natural production, with the extension of use of biological control, alimentary security and quality.
Organisation objectives The Andalusian Interprofessional Organisation of Fruits and Vegetables has, as a first objective, the defence of the common interests of the represented parties. In order to achieve this, the following objectives are followed:
- To promote a better quality of product
- Assigning the production and the industry quality criteria, assuring a follow-up of the products from the point of origin to final destination.
- Better the vegetable health and guarantee the alimentary security of the fruit and vegetable products.
- To make easy the coordination and the understanding between supply and demand, promoting a better knowledge of the markets, benefiting the most efficient and transparent market.
- To serve as an instrument for the transmission and incorporation of the technical innovation to the productive processes.
- To drive the promotion and defend the fruit and vegetable products.
- To watch over the efficiency and transparency of the information that consumers receive about the products as well as facilitating access to the before mentioned information.
- To promote the defence of the environment.
- The development of actions that permit a better orientation of the agricultural foodstuffs to the necessities of the market.
- The promotion of investigation and developmental programs.
- The elaboration of studies, reports and statistics about the sector.
- To promote the contracts and types of fruits and vegetables that are compatible with the according regulations.
- Any other objectives, agreed upon by the members that contribute to the defence of the common interests of the fruit and vegetable sector.
Strategic Objectives Regional:
- To make the organisation known in the regional atmosphere field, unify, motivate and reinforce the sector, reaching notoriety a high and representation of Hortyfruta with the objective of generating a proactive behaviour towards clean and responsible agriculture.
- That by increasing the competition of the Andalusian fruit and vegetable field, the demand will increase the value of its productions and it can overcome the times of crisis.
National/ International:
- To clean and to later reconstruct the image of Andalusian fruit and vegetable products, associating them to natural products (leaders in biological control) and quality.
